BBQs happen all over. In Australia, having an evening BBQ almost seems like a national past time. Gather a few friends around, fire up the BBQ, have a few beers and relax the night away. For overseas readers, Aussies tend to call BBQ as barbies. Probably not quite spelt that way, but you get the idea.
I’ve been to quite a few different BBQs over the years in Australia but this would be my first time having one on a farm. Do you know how many times I have dreamed about being on a farm, in a farmhouse when I was a kid?
It was a brilliant evening. Beautiful food, fresh lamb chops from the farmer’s own stock, wonderful company, what else could a gal ask for?
I took some photos to share with everybody. They are a bit grainy, for that I do apologize. I was feeling a little self conscious with the camera. A biggish camera around this area just feels a tad out of place. But I will persevere. I’ve been promised BBQs in the desert, so maybe the next time I share a BBQ affair, it will be of us in the desert, around a campfire!
Peace. And serenity. There’s really only so many words to describe the different feelings I felt on that night. And they are right up there with joy and pure happiness.
